Sobre o evento
Whether in private households, spas, restaurants, or doctors' practices: Buddha statues are becoming increasingly popular, even among many non-Buddhists. For most people, a gently smiling Buddha is a symbol of peace, contentment, and happiness. But who was the Buddha? And what did he teach? How do Buddhists actually practice? What do all the colorful images and rituals mean (especially in Tibetan Buddhism)?
This weekend, Lama Sherab Drolma will kindly give us a general introduction to Buddhism and an overview of the various aspects of Buddhist practice. This will give beginners a wonderful opportunity to gain a first impression and connect to Buddhism. More advanced students can refresh and perhaps even deepen their knowledge. There will also be an opportunity for everyone to ask questions and clarify doubts. Lama Sherab Drolma teaches in English and will be translated consecutively into German.

About Lama Sherab Drolma
Lama Sherab Drolma was born in the Amazon region of Brazil. She met her main guru, the Tibetan master H.E. Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, when he settled and established the biggest Buddhist center in Brazil, Chagdud Khadro Ling, and served as his translator, personal attendant, and administrator of his dharma activities. In 2002 he ordained her as a lama. Since then she has become a respected teacher herself, known for the depth of her guru yoga, spiritual discipline, experience, and wisdom. She is also an extraordinary lama dancer who authentically expresses the meaning of meditation through movement. She is a resident lama of Chadgdud Khadro Ling and travels throughout Brazil supporting practitioners through teaching, spiritual counseling, and practice. Lama Sherab occasionally visits and teaches in the United States, Europe, and elsewhere. Since she doesn't visit Europe often and particularly this year won't visit many centers, this is a very rare opportunity to meet this special Lama in person.
